Welcome back to the Spotlight BACC! Yup, it’s yet another one post update.
The household at the beginning of the update, left to right: Phoebe, Fiona, Hank, Natalie, Stella, Caleb, Harrison, and Finn.
The household guides: The Morgan Household and The Extended Family Guide.
Hot-tempered Hank seemed like the ideal candidate for the job.
The dollhouse in happier moments. ❤
My new favorite thing with this household: taking pictures of everyone at the kitchen table.
Another week, another Kids’ Club gathering, another kid going through a Bear Phase. (Harrison, if I remember right.)
Caleb and Roger have the distinction of being the first pair of best friends in the BACC who aren’t siblings… though they are step-siblings, come to think of it.
I will never get over how cute Toddler hugs are. ❤
Naomi may have returned to life, but her mood apparently hadn’t improved much.
… well, now I guess we know where Avery inherited her magic from.
I mean really, Naomi, if anyone should be mad it’s Brock. At least you got to come back to life!
Brock isn’t going to let a little thing like being dead stop him from being one of the best dads in the entire save.
I set up a custom holiday in my save called Summerfest, which falls on the first Monday of every summer. The sims were ready to celebrate this year!
Brielle, no, that is not how we celebrate Summerfest!!
Roger and Elliott would apparently never make it if sims had to adapt social distancing rules.
There was so much happening (and I was still sick, so my mind wasn’t at its top performance anyway) so I totally missed it, but Natalie had a moodlet about being caught flirting, so I assume that she flirted with Charles in front of Mabel. This just always, always strikes me as a bad idea. Why would anyone cross Mabel???
Me at the beginning of the weekend: “Wow I’m sick, I don’t know if it’s Covid, and my anxiety is off the charts. I bet Sims would be a nice distraction!”
TS4: “Sure! We’ll have all your sims constantly get sick-”
Me: “No, that’s not-”
TS4: “-and we’ll have two of them die of Anger!”
Me: “No, that’s… that’s not what I meant…”
But yeah, Mabel died of Anger. I tried to have Natalie plead for her, but their friendship had taken such a massive hit due to the whole flirting with Charles thing that she was unsuccessful. And I’m letting it stand, because she died fair and square–I should have sent her home when I realized she was Enraged, but I was so overwhelmed by how busy the house was that I didn’t think of it, and I had a chance to save her from death but we failed. (Grim apparently doesn’t like Natalie–that’s twice now she’s tried and failed to save a sim from death!)
Yeahhhh, welcome to the BACC, Daisy. ;;;
Meanwhile, this townie child wandered onto the porch. Given how many sims in the save the Morgans are related to, I figured it’s probably a good idea for them to befriend nonplayable sims to give them more spouse options. (Things royalty and sims have in common: it’s never too early to start thinking about potential marriages.)
Every time I think this save can’t get weirder, it finds a way. Its latest effort: Stella aging up into a disembodied Toddler.
Is she sad because her dad died during the Royals’ week (RIP Cameron Fletcher) or from lingering trauma from the whole aging without a body experience? Who can say.
Independent Phoebe looks so pleased with herself, like “I never needed potty help.”
Phoebe is also the first of the kids I’ve found crying at Brock’s grave. T_T
Precious big brother Finn and fun cousin Marcella cheered her up, though!
…. this was so close to being a cute moment. So close, and yet so far.
She got there in the end, though.
… well, mostly.
Stella is such a cutie pie!! ❤
I took a picture of these two together, then belatedly realized that they’re the only two in the house that aren’t Brock’s children. It’ll be interesting to compare them in how much they take after Natalie vs. how much they take after their dads.
I made a few minor changes to the house during this rotation, including moving the dollhouse downstairs and enlarging the living room a bit. I prefer having it down here and making the open area upstairs more for skilling items. (Yes, the dollhouse is a skilling item, but you know what I mean.)
This week’s Toddler party didn’t exactly get off to the best start.
It improved in the end, though!
The reshade went wonky again at this point, but I don’t actually mind in some shots, like this one. It looks like candlelight, and it’s really pretty.
Every time I see this picture my immediate thought is that this is like a double date, and then I have to actually look at it and remember that Siobhan and Jude aren’t a couple. ;;
Natalie rolled the want to ask Brock to be her boyfriend, so now they’re back in a relationship. (She wants to get engaged to him, too, but she can’t since he’s not a member of the household.)
One of the things I love about this little sims community is how everyone just helps each other out and takes care of each other even when I’m not controlling them, whether that means cleaning each other’s houses or tending to each other’s Toddlers. ❤
Apparently poor Avery only got to be a Teen for, like, five seconds before getting her first period. ;; Sorry, Avery.
Speaking of birthdays, it was time for Phoebe’s! She’s an ISFJ and has the Good trait.
A few group conversations I caught–Jude was having a bit of a boys’ gathering, while Maci was hanging out with two of her kids (Elliott and Nina) and one of her nieces (Brielle).
… meanwhile, Ginny was off making interesting life choices. ;;;;;
Best friends hangout time!
Sisters hangout time!
Missed narrative opportunity of the update: Natalie looking at the family portrait.
The kitchen might be my favorite room in the house. I love how homey it feels. (Yes, there was a random guitar there all week, since Sofia left it there at some point. I tried to have Sofia go back and get it when I was playing the Redmonds, but it wouldn’t let her add it to her inventory OR Natalie add it to her inventory, so I’m going to have to delete it the next time I play the Morgans. >.< )
This rotation was also the first time that I noticed fireworks going off at the kids’ activity table.
I straight up forgot that there had already been a Kids’ Club meeting, so they had another one. Naomi’s mood still hadn’t improved, and apparently Ginny’s had tanked, too.
… somehow it doesn’t surprise me that Malcolm Seagraves is the one taking a mud bath.
All three of Brock’s daughters! I think Brielle takes a lot more after Naomi than she does Brock, but Fiona and Phoebe both take a lot more after Brock.
In other news, there might be hope for Naomi and Jude’s marriage yet!
In the words of The Princess Bride, “Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while.”
